3WS was part of the family!

Let’s take a little trip down memory lane … when 3WS radio was part of the family! My radio was tuned into 3WS from morning until night. My downstairs radio was hard wired into my Light switch that tuned into 3WS. Here are just a few names of our friends and 3WS family … Jim Merkle, Gary Dixon, Steve Hanson, Mike Frazer, Just Sherri, Tab Douglas, Rose Ryan Douglas, Bonnie Diver, R.D. Summers, Mikey Razer, Gary Marince, Chris Ostrander and so many more that I cannot list on one page. Just about every day, especially when I was part of the morning zoo, I was at 3WS. They even had my contagious laugh on a cart to play even when I wasn’t there. I played baseball for the 3WS/Tab Douglas team, I was part of the 3WS Grill team, I was the Choir director for the yearly 3WS oldies Mass, took part and performed in just about every 3WS Summer Oldies concert, I did interviews with performers on the shows, a cappella at nearly all 3WS events especially the car cruises, I was voted on the 3WS survivor island, I cut my hair for a charity event and the list goes on. 3WS was heavily involved in the community and charity events … 3WS was a family word. Every year we, Johnny Angel and the Halos would donate a song for their Christmas Music CD’s to help feed the homeless. Moving forward, I participate every year in the Bonnie Diver Hair Piece event as a celebrity chef, and this year was a special treat when my old friends, Mike Frazer, Tab and Rose Ryan Douglas and Bonnie Diver joined me for a 3WS re-union photo shoot … it brought back so many good times and memories. I miss those days and especially the friendships. Even though we don’t see each other as much as we did in the good old days … the good times, laughs and memories carry on. When I’m finished with this week’s Blog, I’m gonna post some fun photos of the events and fun times we had as the 3WS family. Good Times and great oldies … 3WS!
